What's new?

Version 2 of Minimal is going to include some important changes. The theme has been refreshed, with elements from the URLBar to the Tabs being redesigned and refined since the first version.

Another important change we're making is the introduction of another layout choice, which can be toggled using the Large/Small Icon modes.

The large icon mode will look similar to Minimal's current layout with the tabs and urlbar in seperate toolbars.

The small icon mode will sport a look similar to that of Internet Explorer 9, with the urlbar, tabs, and buttons in a single toolbar. This is going to an extremely compact version of Minimal and will only appeal to a certain crowd. We're including the original layout for everyone who doesn't find the extra saved space worth the change.

We hope that everyone likes the new direction Minimal is taking. We look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions. :)

Are there any plans to do something like this for one of the current firefox builds?

We don't have any plans as of this moment, but that's not say it's never going to happen.

I'll talk to Josh about it.

That's a good idea! We'll head back to the drawing board and see what we can do.

This is nice, but I would tend to have the title-bar a tad thicker (I think by simply removing the connection to the very top of the bar). Once you have a row-format like this, there's no need to have the most vertical space. If it's too thin, it could be difficult for some to click on things. (The mouse I'm using right now is very touchy - I think it has an attitude problem, so it would be difficult to use this theme).

Nevertheless, I love the idea. :)
